As a Clinic Animal Attendant, you will ensure high standards of animal wellbeing are maintained for all animals in the care of RSPCA NSW.

This role is responsible for ensuring that a range of animal care duties are undertaken and providing information to members of the public regarding animal care.

About the Role

  • Ensuring the wellbeing of animals in the care of RSPCA NSW by proactively providing high quality care and managing their behaviour.
  • Animal care duties including administering medication, providing enrichment and exercise, feeding, observing animals for injury and illness, assist with veterinary examinations, check animals for identification, grooming, assist with euthanasia, and assessment of animals upon intake
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and disease control
  • Providing members of the public with accurate advice regarding animal care and wellbeing
  • Actively participating in training and professional development programs
  • Promoting a positive image of RSPCA NSW to internal and external stakeholders

About You

  • Certificate II Animal Care or similar, essential
  • Proven animal handling experience
  • Previous experience working in a Veterinary Clinic or Shelter
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively within a team
