About the Role:

We are recruiting a paid Store Manager to lead our Ferntree Gully Op Shop volunteer team in a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the Op Shop Network Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the current team of volunteers while overseeing the daily operations of the store to ensure its profitability, sustainability and positive presence within the local community. We are looking for someone who is creative and loves to recycle pre-loved goods, with all proceeds helping animals in need!

What we are looking for from you:

  • Previous experience in a retail, leadership role is essential, including experience in retail operations, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and regular reporting responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage, lead and develop a team of volunteers to the highest levels of performance and engagement.
  • Provide leadership and support in the management of the Op Shop’s operations including overseeing pricing, maximising profitability and achieving sales targets.
  • Provide a high level of service to customers to resolve customer queries and complaints, and ensure RSPCA Victoria is represented positively in the local community.
  • Lead the provision of effective and efficient stock management, visual merchandising and high-level retail operations to contribute to the profitability and sustainability of the Op Shop.
  • Provide support to the Op Shop Network Coordinator in the improvement of internal processes and procedures to maximise efficiency and improve profitability and performance of the Op Shops.
  • Partner with People and Culture team to manage the recruitment, induction, performance management, reward and recognition, communications and termination processes for volunteers.

Requirements for this role:

  • Current and valid Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Willingness to obtain a National Police Check
  • Valid Employee Working With Children’s Check.
  • Current and valid COVID-19 vaccination (primary course) records, unless a medical exemption applies
