An exciting opportunity exists at Austin Health for an enthusiastic and experienced practitioner to assist individuals with acquired disabilities to contribute to their own communities through leisure.
The Community Linking and Leisure Specialist position will be based at Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre in the Community Integration and Leisure Services team.
The key objectives are to support people with acquired disabilities to participate in local leisure opportunities, build and thrive in meaningful relationships and broaden knowledge of inclusive leisure options. This will be achieved by:
This role will also participate in the development and implementation of team projects.
Community Integration and Leisure Services (CI&LS) is based at the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre (RTRC) providing services to rehabilitation clients of RTRC across all clinical areas, including inpatients and outpatients we also provide services in the acute setting where appropriate.
