About Us:

Role Overview:

As our part-time Events Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role as part of our communication team in setting up, coordinating and executing events. You'll work closely with our wider advocacy team to help them engage with stakeholders in the personal injury industry notably insurers, employers, unions, healthcare providers, and policymakers.

Your assistance will help bring to light through the events we run to the importance of our advocacy work, promoting engagement and support for "It Pays to Care."

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate well run, professional and engaging events that support our vision and broader advocacy objectives.
  • Collaborate with our team to co-ordinate well run and engaging events to assist the delivery of our advocacy around positive work injury management.
  • Engage with our community through events to enhance the impact of our work
  • Also assist more generally with communication activity that supports our advocacy.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrated experience in events management and communications.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to organise engaging events.
  • Passionate about social issues and improving outcomes for workers.
  • Previous work in the area, or lived experience with a work injury or via a loved one, is a major advantage in understanding the area.
  • Excellent organisation/planning and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
