Your new role

We have multiple casual entry store assistant positions available at our Cheltenham and Bentleigh Stores, with potential shifts at other Southside locations, weekday and weekends.

As a store assistant, you'll be responsible for sorting donations, selecting quality stock, and pricing items. But you'll also play a vital role in the daily operations of the store, providing excellent customer and donor service. Join our passionate and supportive team of staff members and volunteers and become part of a vibrant community environment where you'll make a real difference.

Your day to day

You will become a key contributor to the operations of our Op Shops. A typical day will involve sorting and processing donations, merchandising, operating the point of sale and providing outstanding customer service. You'll be constantly building and managing relationships, ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in an op-shop or retail environment (desirable).
  • Has previous knowledge or is willing to learn how to identify, sort and price designer and vintage wear, homewares, collectibles and antiques.
  • Can showcase visual merchandising skills and window display expertise.
  • Can effectively process all transactions.
  • Doesn't mind physical activity.
  • Will maintain an exceptional store environment.
  • Will work with a supportive and passionate team.
