Saltbush Social Enterprises is a not-for-profit organisation leading the way in providing responsive and outcome-focused services, particularly to disadvantaged and at-risk Indigenous people and their families.

Through our Supported Bail Accommodation program, our overarching objective is to provide secure and supportive 24/7 accommodation services in Alice Springs as an alternative to remanding a young person in custody.

As a Residential Youth Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated and professional team that is responsible for successfully delivering comprehensive care to young people and assisting them to maintain their court-ordered conditions such as bail, good behaviour order and suspended sentence and improve their prospects of avoiding detention.

As an outcome-focused ‘people person’, and with the support of our passionate team, you will provide day-to-day home-style supervision and support of young people while they are in our care, aimed at assisting the young person to make better life choices.

Ideally, you will have experience, understanding and success in working with youth and a working knowledge of trauma-informed care and strength-based approaches to working with young people exhibiting complex behaviours.

If you have experience working in Youth, Community or Residential services, or in other roles that have given you a good understanding of this type of work, this could be the challenge you have been looking for.

• You MUST be able to work across a 24/7 shift-based roster
• National Police Clearance
• NT Working with Children (OCHRE) Card
• NT Driver’s Licence
• First Aid
• You must be an NT resident to be considered for this position
