Established in 2011, Survivors & Mates Support Network (SAMSN) is Australia’s leading organisation for male survivors of child sexual abuse and their supporters.

SAMSN is a not-for-profit charity that evolved through collaboration between survivors and professionals to provide services to male survivors, their families, and supporters.

SAMSN employs qualified staff to provide a trauma informed and culturally safe approach in its groupwork programs, individual support and counselling, community engagement and peer support. We believe male survivors can recover from child sexual abuse, support others to thrive and be leaders for change.

About the ROLE:

We are looking for a dynamic Executive Assistant (EA) who provides high level professional administrative support to the Senior Management Team.

The position will liaise with internal and external stakeholders including senior government officials, representatives of funding bodies and SAMSN’s Practice Advisory Committee.

The EA will need to be able to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, requiring strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organisational skills and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

This position is full-time for a fixed term of 12 months, starting in March 2025.

Selection criteria:

Essential:

  • Superior level of communication and administration skills
  • Extensive experience using MS Office 365, including Word and Outlook (advanced level) and Excel (minimum intermediate level)
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Valid Working With Children Check (NSW)
  • Current National Police Check

Desirable

  • Certificate IV or Bachelor Degree in Business, Administration or equivalent

Classification and remuneration

  • SCHADS Award level 4.1 to 5.1 dependant on qualifications and experience
  • This position is eligible for generous salary packaging benefits

Successful applicants will be required to have a current National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
