The Sexual Assault Support Service (SASS) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to creating a healthy, safe Tasmania free from sexual violence.
The Prevention Assessment Support and Treatment (PAST) program specifically supports children and young people under the age of 18 years, who have engaged in inappropriate, problematic and/or harmful sexual behaviour (HSB). The PAST program involves a broad scope of work with young people who may present with complex trauma, neurodiversity, learning disorders, disabilities and other complex behaviours or presentations.
As the PAST Program evolves, we are seeking a Coordinator to join the team and help shape the program.
SASS is guided by trauma informed principles, and highly values diversity, continuous quality improvement and staff development. The PAST Program is run in collaboration with Laurel House in the North and Northwest, as well as Mission Australia statewide.
Practitioners in the PAST Program are provided with specialised training around assessing the circumstances which led to a young person engaging in sexualised behaviours, and in turn identifying and delivering appropriate support and intervention.

This position will be permanent (subject to ongoing funding), with a minimum of 3 days per week up to full-time (with a combination of Therapeutic Specialist caseload) depending on candidate preferences.
