The Sexual Assault Support Service (SASS) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to creating a healthy, safe Tasmania free from sexual violence.
SASS services include specialised therapeutic support for survivors of sexual violence and their supporters, and primary prevention education and training for organisations, institutions, and communities. Together, we are building a future where respect and safety are at the centre of every Tasmanian community.
The Finance and Systems Manager plays a pivotal role in financial management and reporting, responsible for financial operations ensuring compliance with accounting standards, legislation and funding requirements. You will provide expert reporting, analysis and strategic advice to support the CEO, Board, ensuring organisational sustainability and optimising business performance. You will also oversee SASS’s technology systems, data security, driving effective processes and enabling data-driven decision-making.
You will develop a small finance and administration team while fostering strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to achieve organisational goals.
We encourage you to apply for this role if you have:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, with 3-5 years of experience in a finance management role. CA or CPA accreditation (or working towards) is desirable.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and presenting key performance indicators to Boards and executive-level stakeholders.
- Understanding of financial management in community services or not-for-profit sectors, including handling grants, funding agreements, and restricted funds.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and experience with data analytics tools such as PowerBI desirable.
- Experience in IT systems management, including vendor coordination desirable.
- A great track record and desire to lead a small team and work as a collaborative and supportive Executive team member, contributing to broader SASS goals.
- A current National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Card, along with full legal rights to work in Australia are requirements for all SASS employees.
