A place to make a difference:

In this full-time*, permanent role, you'll lead a team of practitioners delivering phone-based support to victim survivors of family, domestic and sexual violence. Working from home anywhere in Australia between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, you'll report to our Service Manager.

You will make a difference by:

  • Providing leadership, coaching, and performance management to build a high performing, engaged team
  • Ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to schedules and performance targets
  • Working collaboratively with other Team Leaders and the Service Manager to ensure we are delivering contractually compliant services
  • Being the first point of escalation for any issues, or matters flagged through compliance and quality processes

You're proactive, creative and flexible in your approach, which will see you thrive in a complex and often high pressure environment. Your strong interpersonal skills help you develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, and you can supervise, coach and mentor others with empathy.

This role requires:

  • A Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Counselling and Psychotherapy, Community Services OR
  • If none of the above qualifications are held, a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Psychology), Psychological Science or Criminology is acceptable if accompanied by a post graduate qualification in Counselling or Psychology
  • 4+ years minimum experience in a leadership role in health, community, social services, or other relevant sectors - ideally focusing on family, domestic and sexual violence
  • Professional registration with any of the following governing bodies - ACA, PACFA, AASW or AHPRA
