We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our SECL team. Position Overview

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organisation, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, payroll, and reporting. You will work closely with the executive team to develop financial strategies, provide insightful recommendations, and support key business initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make a significant impact on the financial success of our company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial information to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations to manage funding, optimize financial performance and drive profitability.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  • Payroll management – processing of fortnightly payroll and management of salary packaging provider and Portable Long Service Leave
  • Complete Financial acquittal submissions
  • Collaborate with program heads to create and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Prepare and submit all ATO Reports (BAS & IAS), prepare and oversee audits, and other regulatory filings to ensure compliance with all financial obligations.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the financial landscape of the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrating strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, acquittals and budgeting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Intermediate proficiency in financial software applications MYOB and MS Excel.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award 2010 preferable
