SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  1. Sex work experience and understanding of the principles of sex worker rights.
  2. Knowledge of the diversity of, and current issues for, sex workers in Australia.
  3. Experience in social media content creation to engage a diverse audience and communicate effectively.
  4. Copywriting experience.
  5. Knowledge of accessible design (e.g. WCAG 2.1) and ability to produce accessible resources, or a willingness to undergo training in this area.
  6. Strong computer skills including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, file management, internet and email.
  7. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, to interact with others with patience, sensitivity and diplomacy and build effective relationships.
  8. A high level of attention to detail, organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
  9. Demonstrated cross-cultural skills and knowledge and demonstrated knowledge of culturally appropriate work practices.
  10. A desire, willingness and ability to work with other sex workers, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people who inject drugs, trans and gender diverse people, and people living with HIV.

Desirable (not essential)

  1. Skills and experience in resource development, including strong skills using Adobe InDesign.
  2. Experience managing a Wordpress or Squarespace website.
  3. Skills in social and/or traditional media monitoring.
  4. Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism; or an equivalent demonstrated level of knowledge and skills attained through previous employment, volunteering and/or and study/development.
  5. Experience working or volunteering in a community organisation.
