We are seeking a kind, gentle, and compassionate female to provide live-in support to a lovely lady in her early 60s with early onset dementia living in her home in Maroochydore. The ideal candidate will have a soft nature, previous experience in support work, and a genuine passion for helping others lead meaningful and enjoyable lives.

About the Role:

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a warm, friendly woman who enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, interacting with children and animals, and exploring nature. She has a wonderful sense of humour, and it’s important that you share her zest for life. The role will involve supporting her independence while providing the care and assistance needed to ensure her safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support with self-care and daily living activities, including prompting and assistance as needed.
• Help manage and attend appointments, providing companionship and support.
• Assist with domestic duties involved in running a small home (e.g. cleaning, meal planning and preparation, food shopping, laundry).
• Ensure the lady stays safe, healthy, and happy in her own home.
• Support an active lifestyle, including outdoor walks and activities.
• Foster a meaningful connection, respecting her independence and encouraging social interactions.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in support work or a caring role (preferred, but not necessary).
• A nurturing, patient, and soft-natured personality.
• An active, nature-loving individual who enjoys being outdoors, walking, and staying busy.
• Comfortable around animals—particularly cats.
• Excellent communication skills, with a sense of humour and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
• Someone who can balance providing support while empowering the lady to live independently.

In return you will be provided with a fortnightly salary of $3200 (gross), free rent, regular time off each day (Monday to Friday) and one weekend a month.

You will need to contribute to outgoings such as electricity, internet etc. and your portion of the food bill.
