We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Research Fellow to join our Rainbow Inclusive Aged Care Project, improving care for gender and sexually diverse people in residential aged care. As a Research Fellow, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with LGBTQ+ communities and aged care organisations to co-create an inclusive model of care. This position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact to the lives of gender and sexually diverse older adults, ensuring they receive the respect, dignity, and support they deserve in aged care environments.
Your core responsibilities will include:
You will have a history of productive relationships with LGBTQ+ communities and, ideally, experience working with older people or in the aged care sector. This will inform a practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities in providing inclusive care for gender and sexually diverse older adults. You will also have a strong background in qualitative or mixed methods research, including research involving consumer participation and/or co-design, meaning that you are well-equipped to engage in thorough, thoughtful research activities within residential aged care settings.
