The Role
The Executive Manager Corporate Services reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the following key areas:
- Financial Management (Including budgeting)
- Data management, analysis and reporting
- Business Development and Fund Raising (Including Grant Submissions)
- Information Management and Technology
- Procurement and Contract Management (Including Service level agreements)
- Facility Management
- Emergency Management and Occupational Health & Safety
The Organisation
North Richmond Community Health (NRCH) is a not-for profit community health centre, committed to making healthcare more accessible and culturally relevant. It begun supporting the Richmond community on Wurundjeri land in 1974 and since then has operated in alignment with social justice principles that afford all people the right to the highest quality of health care. NRCH provides a range of medical, allied health, dental and community health services to people in the community from all backgrounds. In addition to these foundational services, it also offers a medically supervised injecting room.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Direct the development and submission of financial plans for the health service and establish guidelines for budget preparation and reporting
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audit schedules
- Collaborate with senior leaders to review and implement high level organisational policies, strategies and practice
- Support key stakeholder relationships, all funding contracts and oversee compliance for the organisation for all applicable regulatory bodies
- Provision of profitability and performance reports for all non-funded services
- Ensure information management and technology continually meet the changing needs of the business
- Review and improve all operation systems, processes and policies to ensure they meet the needs of the business and any applicable regulations
- Oversee the complete grant application process
- Identify new ways to source funding opportunities and create new service delivery developments that will enhance service growth
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to the NRCH Board of Directors and committees
- Provide leadership to the staff within this portfolio to ensure they can effectively deliver on their accountabilities
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in a financial leadership role in Primary Health
- Experience managing contracts and funding service agreements in a complex operating environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills in a public, political or media-focused organisational context
- Demonstrated experience leading teams across a complex portfolio of work
- Demonstrated knowledge of Community Health Care Service, NFP and ACNC obligations and regulatory requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or postgraduate qualifications with a financial focus or MBA
- Professional Membership of either the Australian Society of Certified practicing Accountants or Institute of Chartered Accountants would also be highly regarded.
This is a key leadership role at North Richmond Community Health supporting the CEO, working with the leadership team and ensuring the fundamentals of finance, facilities, procurement, administration, IT, OH&S and compliance are delivered consistently within the business to a high standard. This role may be offered on an ongoing basis or long- term contract.
