A key focus of the role is to lead and grow WCIG’s Employment Pathways Group and its staff to deliver on the strategic plan and goals, contracted outcomes, targets and budgets while embedding quality into programs, service provision and business operations. This includes day-to-day operations and leadership of the Group and working with consortium partners (Workforce Australia Services, Disability Employment Services, Transition to Work Services, Jobs Victoria Mentors, National Panel of Assessors, Practice Development/Community Hubs of Practice, and future Employment program partners).
Reporting to the CEO, the Group Manager, Employment Pathways will be responsible for the overall management of the Employment Pathways Division, encompassing service quality, financial, customer and staff management and achievement of performance targets. You will lead a dedicated team and collaborate with key stakeholders to develop innovative programs, build strong partnerships, and create long-term sustainability for the organisation.
As a leader you’ll be visionary, inclusive, and kind, with a reputation for successfully leading complex services and programs to people and communities needing support, ideally within the context of a disability, employment and/or community service organisation. You’ll be strategically minded but equally adept at ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness balancing business acumen with a supportive and enabling style of managing and leading others. You will be a change leader, well versed in contemporary organisational models of change and a track record of delivering outcomes. You will enjoy working with ambiguity, be prepared to roll up your sleeves, be hands-on and committed to building a high performing team and culture.
