Bethany is a vibrant community service organisation based in Victoria that provides a broad range of prevention, intervention, support and educational services to children, young people, families and individuals. The group includes Bethany Kindergarten Services providing early childhood education through 22 Kindergartens in the Geelong area. Bethany celebrated 150 years in 2018 of providing services to those in need in the local community.
In 2018 Bethany developed a Community Investment Strategy that aims to diversify their income and reduce their reliance on Government funding, whilst strengthening connections within the community to grow its supporter base. An outstanding opportunity now exists for someone to help Bethany realise its ambition to increase the overall fundraising capacity and capability of the organisation. This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to join Bethany's team and to assist in a period of significant growth and development, capitalising on a 150-year history and legacy in the sector.
The Manager Strategic Engagement will provide leadership and strategic direction for the development of Bethany’s supporter growth and fundraising program, including acquisition of new donors and partners, and optimisation of current relationships with supporters and partners, key individuals and trusts and foundations. The role will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will lead a small team of committed and highly capable professionals to ensure priorities and objectives are established, aligned and implemented.
This position requires an experienced and successful fundraising and philanthropy professional with exceptional people skills and commercial acumen. You will be highly skilled in community fundraising, marketing and communications, including expertise in analytics, supporter insights, strategy implementation and performance measurement. As a leader you will inspire and support others to reach high standards and be able to engage and influence key stakeholders. Your reputation will be as a person of high integrity, and an innovator, someone who can drive growth and who consistently hits targets and delivers results.
