The Social Enterprise Council of NSW & ACT (SECNA) exists to champion, connect and advocate for social enterprises and social entrepreneurs across our state and territory.

Five years after forming, we have more than 600 members, organise dozens of events to connect social entrepreneurs with others in their industry, impact area and location, run the biggest social enterprise festival in the country, and work with local, state and territory government entities on a regular basis to make business for good easier, more visible and more supported.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Member Lead is finishing up their wonderful work for members at SECNA so that they can pursue their own social enterprise full-time, opening up the opportunity for someone to build on the work they have done to engage members, connect and support them, coordinate collaborative events including business for good lunches across NSW and ACT, quarterly meetups in Sydney, online learning and virtual peer mentoring.

The role is varied and exciting, but also busy and demanding. With more than 600 members, you will be pulled in all sorts of directions. Our strategic plan guides where we prioritise our time and energy, while leaving room for innovation and projects that excite you and deliver value to the social enterprise sector.

This is a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2026 due to funding. You can choose to work from home (like the rest of the team) or from our shared office in Ultimo, Sydney. Days are flexible.
