About the position

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. You will be a finance all-rounder with responsibilities across such activities as reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance and processing supplier runs, just to name a few.

This is a full-time position based at our Heidelberg West Support Office, with access to hybrid work arrangements with a mix of office and home. 

We offer:

• A base salary of $58,000 + 10.5% super
• The ability to salary package per annum:
  • $15,900 living expenses
  • $2,650 meals and accommodation 

About the person:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline, with plans to take on further studies such as CPA/CA
• A minimum of 12 months working experience in a similar role
• NFP experience preferred but not essential
• Strong Excel and other IT skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytically strong, with good attention for detail
• The ability to work effectively under tight time frames
• A strong problem solver with an ability to tailor communication to suit the audience and the initiative to identify process improvements whilst promoting best practice
• The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
• The ability to be flexible and adaptive to change
• The ability to work independently and within a team environment

The successful applicant will have a current right to work in Australia and will be required to undergo a police check and a pre-employment medical and be able to provide evidence of Covid-19 double vaccination.
