The Position

Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy and Transformation, this is a new position. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Events Manager who has a passion for developing, organising and managing fundraising events from inception to celebrating a successful completion.

This is a part time (3 days per week) position based at our Abbotsford Support Office. We offer a hybrid work arrangement with a mix of office (Tues & Thurs) and home. 

Duties include:

• Develop an event strategy and calendar of events
• Develop and nurture vendor relationships both paid and pro bono
• Manage relationships with financial and non-financial supporters and prospects
• Maintain a high standard of detailed record keeping
• Evaluate success of each event and make adjustments where required
• Collaborate with the broader fundraising team

You bring to the role:

• Success and solid experience in a similar or complementary Events role, ideally with experience in fundraising events.
• Proven ability to create and deliver effective events
• A highly collaborative, innovative and professional approach to executing the role
• Ability to manage multiple activities concurrently
• Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of people and different audiences
• Able to work calmly under pressure.
• Effective management of time and outputs
