The Company

SecondBite and FareShare merged on July 1, 2024 and this role will work across both brands.

SecondBite rescues surplus food and provides it to people in need, while FareShare operates Australia’s largest non-profit kitchens in Melbourne and Brisbane, where chefs transform rescued and donated food, as well as produce grown on their own farms, into millions of delicious, nutritious meals for people in need.

The Person 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Individual Giving Manager to join the team at SecondBite | FareShare. 

The Position

This is position is based at our Abbotsford Support Office. We offer a hybrid work arrangement with a mix of office and home.

Duties include:

• Managing a donor-centric strategy to enhance individual giving, driving acquisition, engagement, and retention of SecondBite | FareShare’s donors and supporters
• Managing a stewardship program for mid level donors, ensuring a high-quality donor experience and effective communication strategies
• Managing the community fundraising program that includes initiatives such as giving days and third-party fundraising
• Managing one awesome team member

You bring to the role:

• Minimum of eight years’ experience demonstrated a similar or complementary fundraising role, ideally with experience in individual giving
• Experience managing a small team
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of fundraising principles
• Experience in working with a CRM to input high quality data and generate reports
• Clear and concise communicator with excellent relationship management skills 
• Excellent time management and attention to detail and recording keeping skills
• Proactive and highly motivated with an ability to work autonomously
