Arthritis Australia is a national not-for-profit charity and the peak national organisation for people with arthritis in Australia. We are dedicated to improving quality-of-life for the millions of Australians living with arthritis through education, programs and advocacy. We also fund world-class research to increase our knowledge of arthritis and find better ways to prevent, treat and hopefully cure the condition in its many forms.
We are excited to introduce a new and impactful role— the Research and Consumer Engagement Manager for our Impactful Arthritis Research Program. This is a hybrid role with flexibility around hours. Ideally 18 hours over 4 days with a minimum of 1 day a week in the office
The Research and Consumer Engagement Manager will be integral in supporting the involvement of consumers in arthritis research and will directly contribute to the success of the National Research Program and our research partnerships.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing our register of consumers who are interested in participating in arthritis and musculoskeletal research. You will ensure that consumers are appropriately vetted, trained, and matched with research projects that benefit from their insights. Your experience will guide the embedding of best practices in consumer involvement into the research landscape.
In addition to consumer engagement, you will be responsible for managing partnership requests, coordinating letters of support for researchers, and identifying new funding opportunities for Arthritis Australia’s initiatives. You would also have the opportunity to support grant application writing and contribute to the overall success of the program.
This is a flexible, exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of an impactful program that will influence the future of arthritis and musculoskeletal research. You will work alongside a small but passionate and dedicated team, helping to shape a program that ensures the voices of consumers are integral to research.
If this sounds like the right role for you, we would love to hear from you. Click Apply Now to submit your application.
Arthritis Australia is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply. Please note unrestricted full working rights for Australia is a requirement for this role.
