Seniors Rights Service
  • REPORTING TO: Principal Solicitor
  • DEPARTMENT: Legal
  • LOCATION: Sydney

Introduction

Seniors Rights Service is the leading community-based provider of legal services, aged care advocacy and rights education and information to older people in NSW. The Aged Care Supported Accommodation project represents an exciting and significant expansion of our free legal service to provide legal representation and support to vulnerable people living in Retirement Villages, aged care homes and other supported accommodation and to provide education and information to seniors in regional NSW through an expanded outreach program.

This project will expand the scope of our current project and deliver best quality free legal assistance services and legal education to residents of supported accommodation in NSW.

People who live in supported accommodation such as aged care homes, hostels, boarding houses and retirement villages are more vulnerable for reasons that include old age, health, physical disabilities, lack of knowledge of their rights, responsibilities and available options to resolve disputes.
