Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras

About Us

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) is a not-for-profit member-based organisation that organises the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade and Festival every summer, and LGBTQIA+ events year-round. Through our Festival, events and activities we act as a global beacon of pride, progress and community. We work to raise the visibility of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual communities, and champion equality.

Since the first march for freedom in 1978, SGLMG has grown into a leading international arts festival, our iconic Parade now includes over 250,000 people and reaches a digital audience of almost half a billion. As one of the world's biggest Pride movements, our unique combination of social justice, community and celebration is internationally recognisable.

The Festival Producer will develop ongoing strategies to maintain and develop assigned SGLMG events and ensure their relevance and longevity as part of the world’s leading LGBTQIA+SB and diversity celebration.

The Festival Producer oversees and manages the administrative, financial, creative, production and technical aspects of the preparation, planning, organisation and implementation of assigned SGLMG produced events. Due to the scale of events, workplace and public safety are a key accountability of the Festival Producer.

The Festival Producer will manage contracted relationships with talent, artists, agents and related talent entities. Sponsorship and media partnerships are essential relationships, and the Festival Producer will work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure these relationships are successfully nurtured.
