A substantial part time position is now available at Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre. We are looking for a dedicated highly motivated Out of School Hours Care Coordinator with a focus on excellence. You will be required to work as part of a dynamic team to undertake the role of the Coordinator for our service at Crown St Public School

Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre is a not for profit community service that has been operating in Surry Hills for over 40 years promoting social justice. Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre is in a unique position to provide services and programs to engage with all strata’s of the vibrant Surry Hills Community.

Our Centre is governed by a volunteer governance board who are committed to ensuring that the service adheres to the highest standards of service provision and operates in a just and ethical manner. Selection Criteria

Essential Criteria

  1. Commitment to the values of SHNC
  2. Understanding of the National Quality Standards and National Quality Frame Work.
  3. Familiar with Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide high quality coordination and care for the OSHC service and to positively contribute to the leadership team in a small Not For Profit organisation
  5. Experience and capacity to establish sustainable partnerships and participate effectively in accord with the needs of the community and the School
  6. High level skills in developing and supporting staff working to create effective teamwork
  7. Highly developed oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
  8. Highly developed organisational and time management skills
  9. Demonstrated skills in managing data bases such as QIKKIDs for CCMS software
  10. High level IT skills in particular Office and a wide range of web and paper based communication and promotion tools

Desirable Criteria

  1. Demonstrated skills in strategic program planning and program evaluation
  2. Knowledge of WHS requirements and risk management planning or willingness to learn
