  • Term: Permanent three day a week position with a probationary period and the potential to develop into full time position
  • Salary: $120,000- $150,000 pro rata, plus super, commensurate with experience

About Siddle Family Foundation

The Siddle Family Foundation (SFF) is the philanthropic arm of the broader Siddle Family Office (SFO) and exists to fulfil the philanthropic endeavours of the Siddle Family.

At SFF, we're dedicated to creating positive change across the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast of NSW through strategic community investment. Over the past three years, we've refined our approach to focus on funding entrepreneurial community leaders who can drive sustainable solutions in affordable housing, income generation, community connection and belonging.

By providing flexible, long-term support and a comprehensive suite of resources, we can help community leaders address critical community gaps and build resilient organisations that will continue to serve their communities long after our 10-year funding commitment. To do this we go beyond traditional funding and actively using our knowledge, expertise, and networks to amplify our Partners' visions for change.

About the Growth Initiative

To realise our vision, we are launching the SFF Growth Initiative - a 10-year funding initiative that will back entrepreneurial community leadership through multi-year investments, organisational development support, and provide access to innovation and capital funding.This new program is designed to accelerate community transformation by providing a facilitated process to selected SFF partners to create a comprehensive organisational 10-year plan. The program includes funding for a range of consultancy or other strategic advice to support organisations to think systemically and long term about their impact.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the design, implementation and development of our Growth Initiative. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of community investment in regional Australia by supporting organisations to develop and execute ambitious, long-term strategic plans.

This role requires strong facilitation, relationship building and critical thinking skills and the ability to think on your feet when needed. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop in the role. This role will work with a highly experienced and passionate small team, and provide exposure to a network of partners, specialists and thought leaders across a range of sectors. The Siddle Family Foundation is looking for a candidate who is ambitious, shows initiative, is values aligned and takes responsibility for their own learning.

Principal Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the design and implementation of the Growth Initiative pilot program with 2-3 initial partners

  • Manage relationships with our partners and external consultants to ensure quality of deliverables

  • Contribute to the broader development of SFF's funding approach

Partner Support and Management

  • Guide partner organisations through the 8–10-month strategic planning process to develop comprehensive 10 year strategic/business planning process
  • Facilitate connections between partners and consultants/resources
  • Ensure plans are grounded in community context and demonstrate systemic thinking

Program Development and Management

  • Deliver the pilot growth initiative process in 2025
  • Build a network of qualified consultants and subject matter experts
  • Develop resources, tools, and frameworks to support the strategic/business planning process
  • Create systems for capturing and sharing learning across the partner network
  • Selection Criteria

To effectively perform in this position the candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in project management, strategic planning, or organisational development
  • Experience working in the for-purpose sector ideally in philanthropy, grant-making organisations or leading social change initiatives
  • Proven track record of supporting organisations through significant growth or transformation
  • Experience working with grass roots for-purpose organisations and understanding of their unique challenges
  • Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

After 12 months, success in this role would look like:

  • Successfully piloted the Growth Initiative with 2-3 partners
  • Established clear processes and frameworks for the Initiative
  • Built a strong network of consultants and resources
  • Created effective learning systems
  • Demonstrated constructive feedback from partner organisations
