ABOUT RED NOSE

Red Nose is Australia’s national charity working to save little lives through research and education, and providing support to families whose baby or child has died unexpectedly.

We provide specialised bereavement support free of charge to any person affected by the sudden death of a baby or child during pregnancy, birth, infancy or childhood. This includes professional counselling, support groups, peer support, our 24/7 Support Line, and other community-based support activities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This part-time role (15.2 hours per week) reports to the National Counselling Manager as part of our Bereavement Services team.

The primary focus of this position is to deliver timely and effective bereavement counselling to clients who have experienced, or been affected by, the sudden unexpected death of a baby or child.

Working closely with the local and national counselling teams, Red Nose Bereavement Counsellors provide a client focused service that is evidence-based and delivered as part of a culture founded in clinical and operational excellence.

From time to time, the role may also deliver service promotion and education activities that focus on increasing both community and professional understanding of grief and bereavement associated with the death of a baby or child.

The required day of work is Wednesday (our team day, when we all work from the office) and the second day you work is up to you.

Full details for the role are found in the attached position description.
