About Us

Red Nose is Australia’s leading authority on safe sleeping and safe pregnancy advice and has been a key provider of bereavement support following pregnancy, infant and child loss for over 40 years. We work hard to ensure parents whose baby or child dies suddenly or unexpectedly can access appropriate bereavement support and care, regardless of where they are based in Australia.

We’re now looking for a dedicated and experienced National Quality and Safety Manager to lead the systems that ensure our services, people and workplaces are safe, high quality, and continuously improving.

About the role

As the National Quality and Safety Manager, you will:

  • Lead the ongoing implementation, monitoring, and improvement of Red Nose’s national quality and safety systems, ensuring compliance with the National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health Standards, National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and other relevant frameworks that that safeguard both the workforce and service users
  • Oversee organisational systems to support compliance with accreditation, legal, workplace health and safety (WHS) and reporting requirements
  • Oversee safety and quality policies, risk systems, and quality improvement initiatives across our face-to-face, workplace and digital service environments
  • Hold portfolio responsibilities as Privacy Officer and Complaints and Feedback Officer
  • Support staff and volunteers with tools, training, and resources they need to embed a culture of psychological and physical safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement

You will report to the CFO and Director of Corporate Services and work closely with executive leaders, operational teams, and external partners to support sustainable, person-centred service delivery and a safe, inclusive workplace.

About You

You’re a values-driven, strategic leader who thrives on systems thinking, stakeholder collaboration, and embedding good governance. You bring:

  • At least 5 years of experience in quality and safety management ideally within health, mental health, or community services
  • Demonstrated experience managing accreditation to recognised standards
  • Strong working knowledge of WHS obligations, risk management, compliance systems and accreditation frameworks
  • A track record of successfully driving quality improvement and cultivating a culture of continuous learning and safety
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and training skills, with the ability to engage internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualifications in quality management, health service governance, business management, or a related discipline
  • Experience in digital service environments or telehealth is highly desirable.
