About the Role:

The purpose of the Marine/Inflatable Boat Builder role is to fabricate, assemble and repair inflatable boats and their components. This includes fabrication, trimming and construction of boats and parts of boats, as well as installing equipment to the vessel. They may also be responsible for repairing and restoring boats and ensuring that they meet safety standards.

The Marine/Inflatable Boat Builder will be based in our Gold Coast warehouse! Hours are 6:30am - 2:30pm Monday to FridayJoin our ThunderCat Inflatables team!

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Construction and assembly of boats.
  • Fabrication, assembly and installation of boat parts.
  • Perform routine repairs and maintenance.
  • Inspect boats for quality assurance and safety standards.

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good problem solving and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, as well as an ability to adapt and adjust to change and its processes.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work with a variety of materials.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings desirable.
  • Knowledge of inflatable boat building materials and techniques desirable.
