The Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) administers nine cemetery locations within metropolitan Melbourne and supports over half of Victoria's grieving families during their time of loss. Our commitment to understanding the needs of our diverse community is embodied by our Community Advisory Committee (CAC).
Expressions of interest are now open for voluntary membership on our Community Advisory Committee (CAC). This committee plays a vital role in providing insights into, and building networks with, the diverse communities we serve.
We are seeking individuals who are active in their communities and have established formal or informal community or consumer networks. You should have the ability to represent consumer and community views from a broad and inclusive perspective. At SMCT, we are committed to ensuring our Community Advisory Committee reflects the rich diversity of the Victorian community.
We actively encourage applications from individuals across all walks of life, including women, young people, people with disabilities, First Nations peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, and individuals from various faith backgrounds. Your unique perspective and experiences are valued and welcomed as we strive to represent the communities we serve.
This is a fantastic opportunity to increase your involvement and experience with boards and governance, particularly for those in their early to mid-careers who are interested in leadership. As a CAC member, you will engage with individuals from various religious and social backgrounds and help guide an important service for the broader Victorian community.
If you are a community-minded person eager to make a difference, we welcome your application to join the SMCT Community Advisory Committee.
