Reporting to the Executive Manager Fundraising and Communications and working closely with other members of the Fundraising & Communications team (including volunteers) and external stakeholders, the Stakeholder Engagement Officer works to strengthen and grow St Mary’s House of Welcome’s supporter base to help ensure the financial and operational success of the organisation.
The Stakeholder Engagement Officer is responsible for the planning, developing and delivering priority stakeholder engagement activities for St Mary’s House of Welcome, in order to maximise connections, understanding and trust with our key stakeholders.
This newly created role requires an experienced, innovative professional with a proactive people engagement and highly professional working style to promote the mission, values, and practices of the organisation. The incumbent will be accountable and responsible for achieving successful outcomes that positively impact on the revenue, growth and image of St Mary’s House of Welcome.
This will include:
- Develop systems and processes to develop relationships with new and existing internal and external stakeholders (individuals, corporate, schools, churches, community organisations, local business) and gain a strong understanding of their needs and how they intersect with the needs of the organisation.
- Develop a program of engagement initiatives to promote the St Mary’s House of Welcome mission and brand to secure partnerships and enhance fundraising revenue growth opportunities.
- Develop and manage stakeholder engagement strategies to support the delivery of the strategic plan.
- Work proactively across the organisation to identify opportunities for brand awareness and enhancement.
- Lead the delivery of stakeholder engagement activities, including but not limited to, presentations to corporate groups, service clubs, schools, etc. Leading supporter tours through organisation, external workshops and community education opportunities.
- Providing support for third party, community and peer-to-peer fundraiser activities, events and campaigns including the development of relationships with community fundraisers over the phone and face to face to provide professional support with fundraising activities.
- Proactively promote and nurture SMHOW support opportunities - building awareness of the organisation and its mission with individuals, corporate groups, clubs, churches, community groups, schools and other potential sources of fundraising income
