The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity that works with children and young people experiencing poverty to overcome their circumstances and reach their full potential by providing holistic, long-term support for their education.
About the role
We are seeking a Corporate Services Support Officer to provide regional support and co-ordination of the Corporate Services functions in Queensland. Reporting to the Office Manager and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, you will:
- Accurately code and process invoices, ensuring proper authorisation, within weekly deadlines – correctly follow strict processes
- Reconcile corporate credit cards for Managers, ensuring appropriate authorisations
- Ensure Travel & General Expenses claim forms are completed and appropriately authorised according to accounts payable processes and policies; email to Accounts Payable on a daily basis
- Support National projects as part of the Corporate Services Team’s work with nationwide teams and provide outstanding customer service to all Qld staff members, who are a segment of our internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with and provide training to our volunteers to effectively accomplish tasks
About you
As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:
- Experience in basic financial accounting and proficient administrative processes
- Intermediate or advanced skills of Microsoft Suite programs, including but not limited to Outlook, Word and Excel
- Capability to thrive in a team environment, but also to work autonomously: time and priority management, problem solving, being resourceful and adapting when things change or new priorities are added
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail required
- A flexible and willing attitude to embrace change and undertake new challenges
