We are currently seeking a Human Resources Associate to join our team. Reporting to the HR People & Systems Advisor and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members in a fast-paced environment, you’ll provide support to the HR team members and the wonderful Smith Family team nationally. With amazing flexibility, this role will suit an accomplished HR Administrator looking for genuine work life balance.

About our role

You will be responsible for:

  • Posting job ads on external job boards.
  • Drafting and sending new starter contracts and paperwork.
  • Checking new starter paperwork is returned including Police Check and Visa validation.
  • Sending new starters their welcome email and login details and ensure systems are updated.
  • Monitoring Working with Children Check expiries and following up team members to ensure their check is renewed.
  • Assisting team members/managers with timesheets including leave queries, calculations and general queries
  • General HR administration support including updating records, report generation and email follow ups.

About you

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

  • High level of interpersonal communication skills
  • Positive, engaging and supportive approach to helping the team
  • Demonstrated experience in administration
  • Willingness to cover a wide range of tasks in cooperation with others
  • Ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective work systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of an HRIS is desirable, though not required (SuccessFactors)
  • Completion of Tertiary qualification in HR related study is desirable, not essential
