The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity that works with children and young people experiencing poverty to overcome their circumstances and reach their full potential by providing holistic, long-term support for their education.

About the role

We are seeking a Indigenous Youth Leadership Program Administrative and Event Support to join our growing team. Reporting to the Youth Leadership Program Manager and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, you will:

  • Ensure that all spreadsheets and databases relating to the program are kept up-to-date
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant organisational policies and procedures including financial management
  • Develop and maintain strong external relationships with current students and families
  • Have knowledge and understanding of Indigenous societies and cultures and an understanding of the issues affecting Indigenous people in contemporary Australia

About you

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

  • Experience in administration and coordination
  • Intermediate IT skills
  • An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultures
  • Excellent time management and written communication skills
