The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity that works with children and young people experiencing poverty to overcome their circumstances and reach their full potential by providing holistic, long-term support for their education.

About the role

We are seeking a Project Officer, Communities for Children to support community partners and stakeholders in delivery projects that build community capacity. Reporting to the Project Manager, Communities for Children and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, you will:

  • Support community partners to meet funding and reporting requirements
  • Monitor project deliverables and assist with data collection and analysis
  • Engage with stakeholders to strengthen networks and service integration
  • Coordinate community events and strategic initiatives to promote CfCFP goals
  • Contribute to planning, reporting, and continuous improvement activities

About you

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in community development, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in program or project support within the community services sector
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills to collaborate with community partners and service providers
  • Ability to collect, analyse, and report on data to support project outcomes
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities
  • Working with Children Check and a valid driver’s licence (or ability to obtain)
