Family Connect and Support and Standing Strong program are looking for a passionate Team leader with a desire to make a difference. Joining us, you’ll guide a team of dedicated and passionate individuals who are focused on bringing together families, support services and community resources to ensure that families, women, children and young people are safe and well.

Family Connect and Support is a connecting and referral service across the Far North Coast of NSW, bringing together families, support services and community resources to ensure that children and young people are safe and well. Standing Strong program is based in Ashmore, Gold Coast and assists women who have been impacted by Domestic Violence to gain skills, grow in confidence, find employment, and achieve financial independence.

Your role within our dedicated Family Connect and Support and Standing Strong Programs will allow you to:

  • Lead Program Workers in the delivery of high-quality strengths based and person-centred intake, assessments and interventions within a case management framework
  • Lead Program Workers in high quality case reviews and reflective supervision
  • Build positive connections and work collaboratively with key stakeholders

The role is currently funded up to 30 June 2025, with renewal subject to ongoing funding.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, psychology, social work, social science or social welfare, health promotion or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team in the social and human services sector
  • Experience in the child protection arena including a sound understanding of current trends, legislation and child protection practice
  • Experience and knowledge of working with people presenting with mental health and/or other complexities
