Impact

By joining Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services (LCMS) you will be championing, supporting and strengthening multicultural communities to exercise their human rights and participate in all aspects of social, cultural, civic and economic life in the Loddon Campaspe region.

The Role

This hands-on CEO role, supported by the Board, is responsible for ensuring LCMS’s influential leadership and long-term sustainability. You will deliver the current strategy (2022-25) aligning with LCMS’s values, and lead the growing suite of programs and advocacy of multicultural communities; amplifying the voices of all people from multicultural backgrounds in the Loddon Campaspe Region.

Specifically, you will-

  • Develop and deliver programs focusing on Social Inclusion, Strong & Visible Voices, Pathways to Jobs & Education and Celebrating Culture across the Loddon Campaspe region supporting multicultural communities to participate and belong in the community
  • Ensure LCMS delivers high-quality services, by listening and responding to multicultural communities' needs and measuring program outcomes
  • Engage with members of LCMS in identifying policy issues and advocacy priorities
  • Deliver financial oversight whilst building and developing successful revenue sources, financial sustainability and self-sufficiency
  • Build influence and reputation with government, partners, associations and stakeholders to elevate the profile of multicultural communities across the Loddon Campaspe region
  • Manage the operations and continue to foster a positive and empowering culture

Skills Required

The successful candidate will have management experience from the non-profit sector and be guided by a deep understanding of current social issues and/or have firsthand experience within multicultural groups.

Key competencies and characteristics include:

  • A strategic thinker, excited by the opportunity to work together to create a future where multicultural communities are welcomed, embraced, belong, are celebrated, and thrive.
  • Experienced and collaborative hands-on leader from an Operational Program management environment
  • Proven financial oversight; establishment of management policy, revenue generation and diversification
  • Effective stakeholder management and a knowledgeable evidence-based advocate
  • Good communicator, with a flexible and collaborative approach to leadership and a growth mindset that can develop a vibrant team culture

As a leader in the sector they deliver essential services, strengthen communities and provide a platform for people from multicultural backgrounds to be seen, heard, prosper, and become part of the community.
