Established in 1986, the Launceston Community Legal Centre Inc (the Centre) has been dedicated to offering free legal advice, support, and information to individuals and communities across Tasmania who are experiencing disadvantage. For nearly four decades, the Centre has been a crucial resource, helping those who might otherwise be unable to afford legal assistance navigate complex legal issues.
The Centre's vision is to promote social justice by improving access to the legal system. They believe that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, should have the opportunity to understand their legal rights and have their voices heard. This commitment to equity drives their efforts to ensure that legal support is available to those who need it most.
This is an important time to join Launceston Community Legal Centre. Working with the board you will lead the new funding agreement negotiations with State and Federal government, implement new digital technology and manage the day-to-day operations of the Centre and its delivery of services.
