Multicultural Care’s services include home care, CHSP including respite care, and community engagement programmes, tailored to meet the diverse needs of elderly individuals and people with disability from different cultural backgrounds across Sydney

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the strategic, operational, and financial management of services and programmes. Reporting to the CEO, you will drive service excellence, enhance operational efficiency, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This is a pivotal leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the organisation’s future and expand its impact.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Leadership – Partner with the CEO and Board to develop and implement long-term strategies that align with the vision.
  • Operational Excellence – Oversee service delivery, ensuring high-quality, culturally responsive care that meets regulatory requirements.
  • Financial & Risk Management – Work closely with the CFO to manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation while ensuring compliance.
  • Workforce Development – Lead and mentor teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performing workplace culture.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with government bodies, funding agencies, and community partners to advocate for clients.
  • Quality & Compliance – Ensure service delivery meets industry best practices and regulatory standards, including Aged Care and NDIS guidelines.

About You

  • Proven leadership experience in aged care, disability, health or community services.
  • Skilled in change management with a strong growth mindset and a commitment to implementing best practice methodologies
  • Strong track record in service delivery, financial management, and compliance.
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and advocacy skills.
  • Experience leading diverse teams and fostering a culture of collaboration.
  • Relevant qualifications in Business, Management, Health, or a related field.
  • Clinical qualifications as a Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker (or similar), ideally with current AHPRA registration will be highly regarded.
