Your Impact

As the People and Culture Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping organisational culture, talent strategies, and employee experience. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative HR strategies to support the mission of the organisation. Specifically, you will:

  • Align performance management systems with strategic priorities
  • Drive leadership and development initiatives
  • Lead HR compliance, risk management, and policy development
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organisation
  • Manage employee relations and industrial relations matters
  • Work with Director of Operations, Finance and Practice to ensure legal compliance and best practices in workplace safety
  • Oversee talent management and acquisition 

What you bring

You are an experienced people and culture professional who can easily multi-task at all levels, both high-level strategic and on the ground operational. You have a proven track record in developing and executing HR strategies, processes and programs and working across multidisciplinary teams. You enjoy enacting innovative strategies and have ideally worked within or is passionate about the non-profit and community sector.

You also have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder skills and can build rapport and nurture relationships quickly
  • High-level strategic and analytical skills with a natural flair for identifying trends and issues
  • Experience leading through change and sound problem-solving abilities
  • A self-starter mind set who has great initiative
