The opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will supervise the day to day operations of the Sonder Support Centre, provide leadership for its staff, and ensure a constant state of readiness and responsiveness. You will work a variety of shifts on a rotating 24/7 roster that is projected well in advance to allow personal planning, balance, and flexibility.

Your day to day activities include, but are not limited to;

  • Oversee daily operations of the team and Support Centre to ensure an efficient and accurate operating rhythm.
  • Be the central point of contact to coordinate and communicate emergency responses.
  • Action support requests ensuring all crisis situations are triaged and managed appropriately.
  • Proactively identify productivity inefficiencies and recommend & implement necessary changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the team.

Shift Supervisors are a team of empathetic, passionate, highly skilled people determined to assess critical situations, then determine, and recommend what our members do next, to ensure they can live their important and unique and interesting lives

You will have:

  • Previous experience working in a problem-solving and management role.
  • Previous experience in an operation centre environment - preferably at a supervisor level.
  • Proven record of leadership and coaching is desirable.
  • Experience operating in a complex and high-pressure environment.
  • Superior written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Please note; due to the nature of our industry, all successful candidates will be required to provide a National Police Check and a Working With Children Check prior to commencing in this role.
