About the Role

As the Communications and Marketing Coordinator you will implement marketing campaigns to generate leads, acquire new customers, and retain existing customers. You will also establish and track KPIs and provide weekly updates to the leadership team.

You are also responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing marketing campaigns across multiple media channels.

The role is both strategic and operational, responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing and communications strategies and tactics for specified products and services, as well as contributing to brand storytelling and thought leadership.

It will be your responsibility to take the strategic guidance provided by our Philanthropy and Strategic Communication Manager and make it a reality with tactical implementation and execution.

About You

We are seeking an experienced and innovative communications and marketing professional who is motivated and values-driven with a passion for the not-for-profit sector. The successful candidate will have strong communication and digital marketing skills with a track record of delivering engaging campaigns.

You have solid experience in thinking holistically about a company, considering its growth and how core services can be described, shared and converted into leads and new business. Reporting to the Philanthropy and Strategic Communications Manager, you will:

  • Use a targeted mix of communication and marketing tactics to build brand awareness, extend reach and maximise audience engagement.
  • Maintain digital channels including website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of content strategies, ensuring consistency and quality across all channels.
  • Manage the majority of copywriting efforts to produce compelling and persuasive content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Implement and optimise marketing automation tools and processes to streamline and enhance marketing efforts.
  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure alignment and support sales initiatives.
  • Develop and execute joint marketing-sales strategies aimed at increasing the number of facilitators trained and growth of SMART Meetings
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to refine strategies.
  • Manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure ROI on marketing investments.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of marketing innovation.

Essential

  • Proven experience in both B2B and B2C marketing roles
  • Substantial experience in leading and developing successful communication and marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing marketing strategies, content strategies, and copywriting
  • Solid understanding of SEO, SEM and Google AdWords and Google Analytics.
  • Proficiency in basic website design
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) or social media management tools (e.g., Loomly, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and use new marketing tools and technologies.
  • An engaging storyteller with outstanding literacy and written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including creating and adhering to deadlines, drafting budgets, and moving multiple projects forward simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Teachable and coachable, willing to learn and adapt on the job.
  • Warm and empathetic person who is values driven and cares about making a difference.
  • Enthusiastic, positive and flexible approach with exceptional interpersonal skills to confidently interact with people at all levels.
  • With a strong focus on personal connections, you build trust and rapport, creating a culture where individuals are motivated to excel and contribute to shared goals.

Desirable

  • A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or a related discipline, and/or equivalent demonstrated experience in a related field.
  • Video production experience.
  • Experience in not-for-profit, charitable, or philanthropic organisations gained within the health sector.
  • PR experience is a plus.
  • Product launch experience is a plus.
