Do you want to be part of something bigger and contribute to social good?

We are seeking a bright, early-career (2-4 years) quantitative researcher to join our client service consulting team. We value people who demonstrate curiosity, take initiative, think creatively, collaborate well in teams, and exhibit a strong desire to learn and enhance their skills. You’ll have a client service mindset and an ability to actively nurture and manage these relationships as part of a client facing team.

If you're passionate about making a difference, eager to learn, and ready to work with senior staff and clients on projects that have social impact, we would love to have a conversation with you. Ideally, you’ll be wanting to develop as an ‘all-rounder’ and be able to work as part of business development right through to analytical reporting and presenting to clients. We’re not going to hold you back, and for the right person we can fast track your development and promotion opportunities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading: Take ownership of managing, executing, and delivering research projects from start to finish.
  • Fostering stakeholder relationships: Communicate effectively and work with and across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Consulting: Work with subject matter experts on proposals, methods, analysis, and reports. This includes end to end project management contributing to the successful execution of a project.
  • Problem solving: Address research methods, operational or logistical issues with creative solutions.
  • Involved in continuous improvement: Have a say and suggest ways to enhance project efficiency and quality.
  • Upholding standards: Maintain our professional standards and corporate culture and values – non-negotiable.

What we offer:

  • Exposure: Work with a range of high profile and engaged clients across government, academic and not for profit sectors. You will grow your experience across quantitative and qualitative project types, sectors and methodologies. Many topics are challenging, some are confronting, all are meaningful.
  • Growth and development: Learn and work with subject matter experts and multi-disciplinary practitioners, with plenty of learning and development opportunities. We have a dedicated statistics and survey methods team, data scientists, evaluation and qualitative research specialists, as well as Australia’s only probability based online panel – Life in Australia™.
  • A career path: Enjoy a clear career path and mentoring through working with a variety of senior staff and opportunities to explore different research methods and specialisations.
  • Creative workspace and flexibility: Work in a dynamic office environment that fosters creativity and collaboration with regular events, plus enjoy the flexibility of work-from-home arrangements.
  • Employee benefits: Access to a profit-sharing program, recruitment referral bonuses, annual flu vaccinations, a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program, and a hybrid working arrangement. We also provide the opportunity to participate in cultural events.

Key selection criteria:

  • Integrity: Ownership and accountability of work, quality and actions.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Adaptability: Quick to learn new concepts and apply them effectively.
  • Attention to detail: Strong organisational skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Mission aligned: with a commitment to developing a career in social or public policy research.
  • Technical skills: Demonstration of relevant work experience (including market, social, evaluation or other).

This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid work options. We welcome applications from across Australia and will consider remote arrangements with occasional travel to Melbourne.
