Role Overview

The Community Development Advisor will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans that address the unique needs of disability and vulnerable communities. This role will require a proactive approach to community engagement, project management to ensure service provision meets the needs of our local community.

The successful candidate will work closely with local organisations, government bodies, and community members to identify key issues and opportunities for development. This position is critical in driving our mission forward and ensuring sustainable outcomes for the communities we serve.

  • Tertiary qualification in community development, social work, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting disability and vulnerable communities.
  • Experienced in strategic planning.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project management.

  • Package: $91,120 - $96,591 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Full-time working 35 hours per week, with the option of a 19 day month (flexi-time arrangement).
