It’s a great time to be part of Sutherland Shire Council. We have a newly appointed CEO, looking to build a refreshed and energetic Executive Leadership Team, to work with our staff and elected Council to take Sutherland Shire to the next level.
Over the coming year, our Executive Team will work collaboratively to enhance community confidence and overall organisational performance. We’ll champion a culture of safety first, customer at heart, and future focus.
As Director Community, you will lead the delivery of Council’s programs for arts and culture, early education, libraries, leisure centres, sports and recreation, public safety, beach lifeguards, community development across distinct sectors, economic development and tourism, companion animal safety, and community venues.
A positive attitude and a strategic mindset are critical, with a focus on how we can make a difference and deliver brilliant outcomes for our community. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director Community will require exceptional leadership capability and proven success in community development, service delivery, strategic business planning, and stakeholder management.
