We acknowledge the traditional custodians of these lands and waters and we welcome the opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal people of Australia. We value relationships with our local Aboriginal community and appreciate applications from its members.
SSI is a community organisation and social business that supports newcomers and other Australians to achieve their full potential. We work with people with a refugee and asylum-seeking background, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, people with disability, youth and children and more to build capacity and enable them to overcome inequality.
SSI draws on its expertise and experience to advocate for the people and communities it serves. Through the work we do, we empower people to change their lives. Through our advocacy and representation, we influence ideas and policy.
The Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP) builds skills and knowledge for the social and economic wellbeing of humanitarian entrants through needs-based case management. SSI delivers the program in Sydney and regional NSW, supporting refugees and humanitarian entrants to settle quickly, successfully adjust to the changes in their lives, and identify and work towards their education and employment goals. All HSP clients are placed in Tiers based on complexity and service need. Specialised and Intensive Services Case Managers provide case management support to clients placed in Tier 3.
Are you passionate about working with refugees and humanitarian entrants and have a Bachelor of Social Work, Psychological Sciences or Psychology? Do you have experience providing case management support to clients with complex needs? Have you worked with clients from a culturally and linguistically diverse background and have experience working with databases and Microsoft Office? Fluency in Arabic language is highly desired but not essential.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
Please address the above criteria in your cover letter and upload/attach your resume and cover letter as ONE document.
