We are looking for x Youth Settlement Workers, working 35hrs/fortnight. The Youth Settlement Worker will be responsible for providing settlement and youth transition support to newly arrived young people, especially Humanitarian Entrants and Refugees, who have arrived in Australia within the last five years (or more depending on circumstances) and ensure contractual obligations under the relevant funding programs are met.
The Youth Settlement Worker will also conduct in-depth intake assessments, facilitate engagement, referrals and successful settlement and transition outcomes to increase the independence and community connections of newly arrived refugee and migrant young people.
The role will hold a caseload of low to medium-intensity clients, providing information, advice and referrals, as needed, and be involved in developing and delivering innovative youth activities and projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
