The Stepping Up Consortium is a not for profit agency built on the strengths of three organisations: Odyssey House Victoria, TaskForce and Youth Projects. Stepping Up provides locally integrated, person centred, and evidence-based treatment to those whose lives have been affected by alcohol and other drugs.
Our vision is to be the leading provider of quality, innovative and high impact services for clients with complex needs at the intersection of the addiction, disability, mental health, unemployment and justice sectors.
We are looking for a committed team player who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. Someone who will strive to help clients achieve their full potential, and share in the collective responsibility to make a difference in the community. This role will suit experienced AOD clinicians with relevant health or welfare tertiary qualifications and their Certificate IV in AOD but we also recognise the skills and insights that people at different stages in their career bring.
You will be joining a vibrant team of skilled individuals who support each other and share their expertise. The culture at Stepping Up promotes flexibility with negotiable working hours, and an optional monthly rostered day off. We are also committed to learning and development and allocate a personal budget for professional development.
The position is offered with salary packaging benefits. We want to attract the best people and are prepared to negotiate terms and conditions to ensure appropriate opportunities are provided to people willing to make a difference.
We are currently advertising for an AOD clinician based primarily in Geelong West.
The AOD Clinician is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and providing a range of counselling interventions to assist clients and their family members to change harmful behaviours resulting from problematic alcohol and other drug use.
At Stepping Up we value diversity and believe that a range of backgrounds brings a variety of ideas, perspectives and experiences that will enhance our effectiveness.
We promote a workplace that actively seeks to include, welcome and value unique contributions by encouraging Aboriginal Australians, people with disability, LGBTQIA, young people and people from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply for this position.
Stepping Up is committed to child safety and has zero tolerance of child abuse. All Stepping Up employees must undergo Police Records and Working with Children Checks. Any person issued with a negative notice on the Working with Children Check will not be eligible for employment with us.
