An exciting opportunity is now available for a Business Manager to coordinate and lead the operations of Disability Employment Services, Education & Training and Community Services programs at the Townsville site.

Engaging with local communities and industries to develop and achieve current and future STEPS programs your responsibilities will include:

  • Engage and collaborate with the STEPS leadership team to build and streamline operational delivery of site programs and maximise performance outputs
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of the Annual Plan with targets, timeframes, and budgets.
  • Lead the development of a high performance, customer-focused culture and provide senior level support to all site team members
  • Collaborate with relevant Managers to coordinate the infrastructure, day to day operations and site management to deliver optimal utilisation of all site and program resources
  • Continually monitor, measure and report on operational performance, issues and opportunities that impact on the day to date running, performance and future growth of the site program operations

The Successful Applicant

  • Recent experience in a management role with strong team leadership is essential.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in one of the following with an ability to gain such in the other:
    • Delivery of Disability Employment Services, including National Standards for Disability Services and contracts and organisational policies and procedures; and
    • Supporting funded training programs with an understanding of contractual funding, compliance requirements and meeting KPI and financial targets
  • Demonstrated achievement and delivery of business plans and operational outcomes
  • Experience in motivating and managing a team to contribute to team goals and business plan objections
  • Effective and flexible leadership style that delivers positive outcomes across a diverse team
  • COVID-19 vaccination mandatory.

Applicants must also have the ability to complete a Police Check, Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, have a current Driver's Licence and have the ability to travel to attend meetings, training or conferences outside the usual span of work hours.
