The Role

An exciting full-time opportunity is now available for a Payroll Manager to join the Finance team on the Sunshine Coast located in the beautiful Caloundra.

Reporting to the CFO and providing key leadership to a small Payroll team, you will be an integral member of the highly effective Finance Division. Responsible for ensuring payroll across multiple awards and business entities and has a focus on improving and automating processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, lead and coach the Payroll Team to ensure all deadlines including statutory requirements are met and completed with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Manage the workflow of the payroll team to ensure tasks are distributed fairly
  • Manage relationships with external and internal stakeholders such as Executive Managers and HR Teams to ensure strong positive interactions are built and maintained.
  • High level of expertise and knowledge in the area of Fair Work Australia regulations surrounding a broad range of Modern Awards conditions including but not limited to correct level of pay classification, hours of work including overtime calculations and penalty conditions, in order to achieve compliant processing and outputs
  • Produce and deliver a variety of regular reports and quality control audits.
  • Process improvement with a focus on reducing manual processes

The Successful Applicant

  • Relevant qualifications and/or strong industry experience preferably across diverse roles with experience in payroll administration, processing and management
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills
  • Experience working with multiple awards and across multiple pay runs demonstrating capability of working in a busy environment
  • Experience in developing and maintaining systems, processes and tools to meet statutory compliance obligations
  • Demonstrated use of payroll software and systems and excellent working knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • A proactive, professional and consultative approach
  • A driven attitude with the ability to work autonomously and maintain open communication

Applicants must also have the ability to complete a police check and have a current Driver's Licence.
